State bullyism on the residents of Turkeyen Gardens , ECD, Guyana

Where else in the world can you find a government attempting to forcefully take possession of a children's playground with the intention of turning it into house lots for members of the ruling party?? Only in sad old miserable Guyana can things like this happen.

In Area Q Turkeyen, the community to the east of the CARICOM Complex, residents were extremely surprised and shocked when workers from the lands and survey department turned up one day and started driving markers into the playground. Upon inquiry, residents were told that the playfield area will be divided to create twelve house lots. Are these people for real? How can anyone look at a children's playfield and think of coveting it for their personal use?? What kind of sick demented people do we have running our country?

This is nothing but a straight forward case of State bullyism, this shameless act must not be allowed to happen.

Shame on you President Jagdeo and your PPP party for attempting to perpetrate this unthinkable act. Is nothing sacred in this country, not even a place for innocent little children to play or maybe you prefer to see our children turning to drugs and other unproductive activities as we see happening in so many communities across Guyana.
